PHIP has excellent medical, pharmacy and dental plan benefits that meet the needs of both Medicare and non-Medicare eligible members. The pharmacy plan for Medicare members is a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan.
As you approach age 65, you have some important decisions to make about your medical plan. To help you understand how participating in the PERS Health Insurance Program (PHIP) can enhance your Medicare coverage, we hope you will attend a presentation in 2025.
PHIP has scheduled New Enrollment Presentations throughout the year for those PERS members who are considering retirement within 90 days or who are already retired and will be turning 65 years of age within the next 12 months. You can choose to attend either in-person or via online webinar.
What to know:
While you are not required to attend a presentation before you enroll in PHIP, you may find the information helpful. Presentations will cover:
• An overview of Medicare enrollment timelines
• The process for enrolling in PHIP
• An overview of the 2025 PHIP plans and the areas where they are available
• 2025 costs and benefit summaries for all of the PHIP plans
